Awesome Singaporean Lady who Tasted Hail

The 44 year old Singaporean lady who tasted the hail, totally made my day. She’s truly the bright spark amidst this haze crisis. Something infectious about her enthusiasm. Hope she becomes famous and gets advertising endorsements. Children don’t try this at home, but she totally should get her own TV show. She’s a natural in front of the camera. She’s about my age, but looks so much younger. Maybe it’s her zest for life. I was just as excited to read about the hail but would be too chicken and germophobic (I’m all kinds of phobic) to taste it. Although the first and only time I saw snowflakes I stuck out my tongue to taste it too.

Skip to 1.41 and let’s hail the lady of the week. The reporter is mispronouncing her name by the way (it’s Gaan-thee-mer-thi Moo-th-thu-saami – that is if they got the spelling of her name right in the first place). Then again, spelling doesn’t truly reflect pronunciation but that’s a whole other boring post.

Update: Found it on YouTube as well. No need to skip. I am sure you wanna watch it again like my mum did. I do love Singlish.

Update2: Someone did an auto-tune version and it’s strangely mesmerizing. The media really should interview her again to find out how she feels about her new fame.

I think the reporter being expressionless makes this whole thing so funny, so he should get some credit too.
